Neuroendovascular surgery is a subspecialty of Radiology, Neurosurgery and Neurology whereby highly trained individuals perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures through minimally invasive catheter based technology.
Most procedures are performed through a small needle stick in the femoral artery or radial artery where a catheter is inserted and guided through the arteries towards the brain or spine.
